Heather Smith is an Australian-born author, chartered certified accountant, writer, speaker, and small-business consultant, based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
She is best known as the author of Xero for Dummies series and Learn Small Business Start Up in 7 Days. She was personally approached by Xero's co-founder Rod Drury to write Xero for Dummies.
Smith is also a certified advisor for both Xero and MYOB.

Career
Smith is a Fellow of the ACCA. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from Griffith University. She is one of the mentors at River City Labs, a non profit organisation aiming to promote high-tech start up businesses in Brisbane and surrounding regions. She performs a similar role at the Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre.
